I found my passion for woodworking as a boy from my grandfather. He had a wood shop in his backyard and I spent a lot of time with him. I have done many jobs in my life, from from loading sides of pork in a packing house, to farm work, to running a machine in a doorknob factory, to traveling the world as a crew member for many of the top musical groups in the 70’s and 80’s; but I have always come back to woodworking. I studied with Sam Maloof, George Nakashima, and Don DeDobbeleer - all great influences in my love of wood. Over my 40 years of woodworking, I have developed my skills in both design and joinery to produce some beautiful pieces of furniture. I don’t use any computer-aided machines in my process. I've found that it takes the humanity out of a piece. I stick to the old-fashioned techniques that have proven themselves over time.

I’ve lived in Redding, California since 1989 and my shop has access to many local artists and some of the finest materials in the world. Whether you are looking to compliment an existing piece you have or for a new design concept, I am happy to create something that you will cherish for a lifetime.
